Investigation underway into Sidon waste mountain fire
The National News Agency reported that, following yesterday’s fire at the waste dump located on a property owned by the Sidon Municipality, an investigation was immediately launched at the direction of South Lebanon Public Prosecutor Zaher Hamadeh to determine the circumstances and cause of the fire and take the appropriate legal measures.
Following the judicial directive, security forces began their investigation, questioning a number of workers and officials at the facility, as well as residents living near the site of the fire. The questioning is aimed at gathering information and clarifying the circumstances leading up to the outbreak of the blaze.
