Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces Directorate-General – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
A contracting company has begun excavation work on the Salim Salam Bridge, at the end of the uphill stretch, after Lebanon Mills, on the left side at the turning lane, as part of water pipe installation works.
The works will be carried out on October 7 and 8, 2026, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Traffic will therefore be prohibited on the turning lane at the end of Jaroudi Street for vehicles traveling from the Lebanon Mills uphill road toward the Salim Salam downhill road. Traffic will also be prohibited on the turning lane for vehicles coming from Bank Audi toward St. Elias Church.
Citizens are urged to take note, comply with the instructions and guidance of Internal Security Forces personnel, and follow the traffic signs installed at the site, in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.
