MP Elias Stephan wrote on his X account: Minister Joe Saddi’s decision to refrain from attending Cabinet sessions is a warning sign that cannot be ignored. There is no point in holding a minister responsible for a sector while blocking the solutions he proposes to reduce costs for Lebanese citizens and increase the state’s electricity supply. Government responsibility is collective, and citizens are not concerned with a back-and-forth of excuses; they want to see decisions that reduce their electricity and generator bills. It is time for the government to assume its responsibility and approve feasible solutions instead of allowing the crisis to continue.
