Okais and Hawat: We support negotiations to strengthen state sovereignty
President Joseph Aoun received MPs George Okais and Ziad Hawat, with discussions focusing on the general situation in the country and the latest local and regional developments, particularly the course of the Lebanese-American-Israeli negotiations and Lebanon’s position on them.
The two MPs affirmed their support for the negotiating approach adopted by President Aoun, aimed at extending Lebanon’s sovereignty over its entire territory and implementing the government’s decisions on placing weapons exclusively under state control.
The meeting also addressed development needs in the Zahle and Jbeil areas.
