Public Works Minister Fayez Rasamny chaired a meeting today to follow up on preparations for the reopening of René Mouawad Airport in Qlayaat, with representatives of the relevant administrations, security agencies and operational bodies attending.
Discussions focused on measures already completed and work currently underway ahead of the airport’s reopening, as well as operational arrangements and coordination among the various parties involved.
The meeting also reviewed administrative, security, technical and logistical requirements.
The session comes as part of the Ministry of Public Works follow-up on the different stages of the Qlayaat Airport reopening process, including completion of the necessary legal, technical, security and operational requirements to bring the facility to operational readiness in line with internationally recognized civil aviation standards.
