South Korean envoy, North Lebanon governor discuss development projects in Tripoli
Acting North Lebanon Governor Iman Al-Rafei met South Korean Ambassador Gyusok Geon in Tripoli to discuss economic and social challenges and prospects for expanded development cooperation.
Geon reaffirmed Seoul’s support for Lebanon and highlighted projects under the ELEVATE initiative, including eight in North Lebanon, as well as plans to expand vocational training.
Al-Rafei called for greater support for Tripoli and northern municipalities, particularly equipment for waste management and public services.
Both sides agreed to maintain coordination and explore new projects aimed at improving livelihoods, creating jobs and advancing sustainable local development.
