Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi met a Lebanese-American Coordination Committee (LACC) delegation in Washington to review developments in Lebanon and the committee’s advocacy efforts with the US administration and Congress.
According to an LACC statement, Raggi briefed the delegation on his recent talks with US officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, members of Congress and White House officials, as well as meetings held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The committee presented Raggi with a memorandum outlining three priorities: supporting a state-led Lebanese-Israeli negotiating process under US sponsorship; establishing exclusive state authority over weapons and decisions of war and peace; and accelerating institutional and economic reforms while strengthening diaspora participation.
The LACC reaffirmed its support for Lebanese state institutions and offered to coordinate with the Foreign Ministry on US outreach and diaspora engagement.
