Agriculture Minister Nizar Hani, responding to an MTV question about apple exports, said: “We are working to improve coordination between exporters and farmers and ensure prices that take into account the high cost of production.”
He added: “A large number of Egyptian traders are currently in Lebanon, and we have worked for more than a year to open the Iraqi, Jordanian, Libyan and Egyptian markets to Lebanese agricultural products, in addition to opening Gulf markets via the land route, which is a positive development this year.”
