Will The Gasoline Tax Be Removed At LF Request?
MTV has learned that the four Lebanese Forces ministers will put forward a proposal at today’s Cabinet session to abolish the 300,000 L.L.tax on a tank of gasoline, with the levy set on a sliding scale linked to the official price.
Under the proposal, the full tax would apply when a tank of gasoline is priced at $20. The levy would then gradually decrease as the price rises, as is currently the case, eventually reaching zero.
