Drugs and Weapons Seized From Home in Kfardebian
Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces (ISF) arrested three people in the town of Kfardebian and seized drugs, military weapons and equipment used to manufacture cocaine base, the ISF said.
The arrests followed information received by the Central Anti-Drug Bureau that a Lebanese man, identified by his initials as K.A., 52, had been bringing quantities of drugs into Kfardebian on several occasions and was also in possession of military weapons.
A patrol from the bureau raided his home on August 21 and arrested him along with two Syrian nationals, H.J., 30, and A.R., 21.
A search of the suspects and the apartment uncovered an RPD 7.62mm rifle, a Kalashnikov rifle, a 6mm Ruger rifle and a 7.62mm Dragunov sniper rifle, as well as two military-grade pistols and ammunition.
The ISF also seized 44 grams of marijuana, 13.6 grams of cocaine, 5.7 grams of cocaine base, a precision scale, an iron grinder containing marijuana and equipment allegedly used to manufacture cocaine base.
The three suspects were referred, along with the seized items, to the competent judicial authorities for further legal proceedings.
