Aoun: We Will Pursue Arms Control Without Internal Clashes
President Joseph Aoun affirmed that the state is determined to place all weapons under its control, but without internal confrontation.
Aoun stressed that “Lebanon wants an agreement with Israel that could pave the way for peace,” adding: “We want an alternative force to UNIFIL to avoid a vacuum after its mandate ends, and we call for U.S., European and Arab support for the Lebanese Army.”
