“Displaced and Reconstruction” file on Berri's agenda
Parliament speaker Nabih Berri received MP Imad Hout at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh, where they discussed general updates, the latest political and on-the-ground updates, and legislative affairs.
Berri also received UN Deputy Special Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Lebanon Imran Riza, in the presence of the Speaker’s media adviser Ali Hamdan. The meeting addressed the general situation, UN humanitarian programs in Lebanon, the displaced and reconstruction files, particularly those related to service, educational and health facilities, as well as the rehabilitation of infrastructure in southern Lebanon damaged by Israeli attacks.
Berri also met with Public Procurement Authority President Jean Allia and members of the authority, who briefed him on its work programs. The meeting also provided an opportunity for Allia to present Berri with a book documenting the authority’s achievements.
