Berri Leaves Baabda “At Ease” After Talks With Aoun
President Joseph Aoun received Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri at Baabda Palace, where they discussed the general situation locally and regionally, as well as the situation in southern Lebanon amid the continued Israeli attacks on southern villages and towns, particularly the demolition and bulldozing of homes, and the need to halt these hostile practices.
President Aoun briefed Berri on the outcome of his visit to the United States and his talks with U.S. officials, foremost among them U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Upon leaving the palace, Berri said the discussions focused on President Aoun’s visit to Washington and the situation in the south, adding that, as usual, he was reassured by the meeting.
