Salam mourns former Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam mourned the former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, offering condolences to Qatar’s leadership and people.
In a post on X, Salam wrote: With deep sorrow and grief, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the brotherly State of Qatar, its leadership and people, on the passing of His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
He added that the late emir will remain present in the memory of all Lebanese people for the political and humanitarian support he provided to Lebanon during its most difficult times, as well as for his efforts in promoting stability in the country.
Salam also extended his condolences to Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, praying that God grants the late leader of the Arab and Islamic worlds mercy and a place in paradise, and offers the people of Qatar patience and solace.
