President Joseph Aoun said that the Lebanese people's aspiration for peace and to live in dignity and security is a legitimate right, stressing that the country can no longer afford to pay any further price.
Speaking after receiving delegations from the Keserwan-Ftouh Mukhtars Association and the Syndicate of Marine Tourism Establishments, Aoun said the government is working to ensure that the state fulfills its responsibilities and safeguards the interests of all citizens, rather than leaving that role to sectarian groups or political parties.
He added that, with the expected implementation of the framework formula and Israeli withdrawals on the ground, Lebanon hopes to see improved security indicators that will help attract tourism and investment.
