President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun was briefed by Minister of Interior Ahmad Al-Hajjar on the outcome of his official visit to Kuwait.
Minister Al-Hajjar conveyed to the President the greetings of the Emir of the State of Kuwait and senior Kuwaiti officials, who reaffirmed their support for President Aoun, Lebanon, and the Lebanese people, as well as their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and further developing the frames of cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
Minister Al-Hajjar also briefed President Aoun on the launch of the biometric fingerprint service at the Lebanese Embassy in Kuwait. The service will be gradually rolled out to Lebanese embassies and consulates around the world, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He pointed out that this service will enable Lebanese citizens residing abroad to complete the biometric fingerprint process and submit their applications electronically to Lebanon to obtain a biometric passport, without the need to travel to Lebanon in person.
Minister Al-Hajjar also reviewed with the President the country's security situation and the measures and procedures being taken by the security agencies to strengthen stability and prevent any attempts to tamper with security or disrupt public order. Al-Hajjar stressed that preserving internal security remains a top priority, and the state and its security agencies are firmly committed to carrying out their duties to ensure the safety of citizens and safeguard civil peace.
