After the Aicha Bakkar incident, several suspects were arrested
The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 4/6/2026, an incident occurred in the Aicha Bakkar area of Beirut due to previous disputes, involving gunfire that resulted in the injury of three people, one of them in critical condition. An army patrol immediately arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, arrested a number of those involved, and seized a quantity of light and medium weapons and military ammunition. Investigations have begun with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary, and follow-up is ongoing to arrest the remaining suspects.
