Minister of Information Paul Morcos honored writer and director Fares Youwakim during Album al-Asala, presenting him with a plaque in recognition of his artistic legacy.
For his part, Youwakim expressed gratitude, recalling his early career with Tele Liban.
Morcos separately met with Tunisian Ambassador Bouraoui Limam, who emphasized strong bilateral ties and discussed boosting media and cultural cooperation within Arab and Francophone frameworks.
Hungarian Ambassador Ferenc Csillag also visited to explore collaboration opportunities, especially in light of Lebanon’s ongoing reforms.
In turn, UNESCO’s Beirut Office Director Costanza Farina discussed joint initiatives with the minister, including media literacy, combating disinformation, and restoring Tele Liban’s archives.
Discussions also covered a file Lebanon will submit to UNESCO’s Memory of the World program.
Morcos later received a delegation from the Lebanese Green Party, which expressed support for the government’s reform path, and met with a team from Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) ahead of his official visit to Kuwait.
