Prime Minister Nawaf Salam stressed the urgent need to “put an end to Israeli violations as quickly as possible,” declaring from Baalbek that the Lebanese government “has spared no diplomatic effort to stop these actions and push for Israel’s withdrawal.”
Salam added, “Security and development go hand in hand, and Baalbek, with its unmatched history and cultural richness, deserves to reclaim its role as a hub for tourism and regional growth.”
Commenting on the ongoing municipal elections, Salam said, “Our experience in Mount Lebanon was excellent despite a few irregularities that we addressed, and I am confident that the elections in the Bekaa will be conducted with the same level of neutrality and transparency.”
