Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received Australian Ambassador to Lebanon Andrew Barnes at the Grand Serail.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong bilateral ties between Lebanon and Australia. Ambassador Barnes praised the Lebanese diaspora’s contributions across sectors in Australia and emphasized his government’s commitment to Lebanon’s stability and prosperity.
Discussions also covered ongoing cooperation, particularly Australia’s support for the Lebanese Armed Forces and Internal Security Forces.
Separately, Prime Minister Salam met with a delegation of business leaders and experts to discuss the government’s financial recovery plan and ongoing economic reforms.
Salam also welcomed non-resident Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to Kuwait, Lebanese-born Mohammad Al-Zohbi.
Ambassador Al-Zohbi expressed his readiness to help strengthen Lebanon’s ties with Antigua and Barbuda and the wider CARICOM group.
