Lebanon’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Fouad Chehab Dandan shared photos on his Instagram account of the reception for Emirati arrivals at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport.
He wrote: May 7 marks the arrival of the first Emirati brothers visiting Lebanon, following the implementation of the decision to lift the travel ban for Emirati citizens. This decision, issued under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of the UAE - may God protect him - was made in line with the understandings reached during the official visit of His Excellency General Joseph Aoun to Abu Dhabi last week.
Addressing the Emirati visitors, he added: Welcome to Beirut.
Dandan described the move as a hopeful step toward the return of our Arab brothers to their second home, Lebanon, which will welcome them with flowers, warmth, and love.
