Aoun meets Saddi to discuss electricity sector, receives update on Papal visit book
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun discussed the state of Lebanon’s electricity sector with Energy and Water Minister Joe Saddi, focusing on measures aimed at boosting power generation at the country’s electricity plants.
In a separate meeting, Aoun was briefed by Bishop Mounir Khairallah, Maronite Bishop of Batroun and Chairman of the Episcopal Commission for Media, and Monsignor Abdo Abu Kasm, Director of the Catholic Media Center, on a draft publication titled Blessed Are the Peacemakers.
The book documents Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Lebanon last year through photographs and written accounts.
It is scheduled to be launched during a ceremony at the Maronite Patriarchal See in Bkerke, marking the first anniversary of the papal visit.
