Hezbollah-affiliated Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah said a vehicle belonging to the group had been stopped at the Dahr al-Baidar checkpoint, where materials commonly used in the context of an occupation were found inside.
“From the moment the vehicle was stopped, the resistance contacted the relevant authorities, informing them that the vehicle belonged to it and that the materials inside were capabilities intended to confront the occupation. It also requested the return of both the vehicle and its contents,” he said.
“We tried to resolve the issue of the vehicle out of concern for maintaining calm at home, but certain parties are seeking to stir up controversy that only serves the enemy,” he added.
Fadlallah continued: “If the authorities are looking for those who use these capabilities, which were found in the vehicle, and those who directed them, and are threatening to pursue them, then these are well-known parties, starting with the resistance’s leadership, its people, the families of martyrs, and the resistance fighters holding their positions on the front lines.”
