Abi Ramia: Negotiations are key to restoring state sovereignty
MP Simon Abi Ramia said after meeting President Joseph Aoun that the discussion covered the atmosphere surrounding the Paris conference in support of the Lebanese Army and security forces, as well as preparations for the Solidarity with Lebanon parliamentary conference, which will be held Thursday at the French National Assembly with the participation of French entities and institutions supporting Lebanon. The process will continue with similar meetings at the French Senate, reflecting the importance of keeping Lebanon and its interests on the French and international agenda.
He added: Negotiations are the means to assert the state’s sovereignty, through the Israeli withdrawal from occupied territories and an end to attacks, ultimately leading to exclusive state control over weapons, so that the state remains the sole authority on matters of sovereignty and national security.
