Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh received at his office at the National Library in Sanayeh the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Lebanon, Carolina Tifourteh.
The meeting addressed a number of general matters and bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly in the cultural field, as well as ongoing cooperation with the Ministry concerning archaeological sites.
In this context, Tifourteh extended a special invitation to Minister Salameh to attend a ceremony honoring German archaeologist Professor Margarete van Ess, who began working at the archaeological site of Baalbek in 1998 and has continued her work there to this day. She also extended a special invitation to him to participate in the Munich Security Conference.
