What Did Katz Say About Ali Al-Taher?
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that “Israel will not withdraw from the security zone it controls in southern Lebanon until Hezbollah is fully disarmed.”
He said the “Israeli army continues to dismantle tunnels and deploy forces to take control of Mount Ali Al-Taher,” adding that “its forces have destroyed tunnels built by Hezbollah in the area’s highlands.”
Katz added: “Taking control of Mount Ali Al-Taher completes Israel’s consolidation of control over the security zone in southern Lebanon.”
