Makhzoumi backs Aoun’s commitment to the framework agreement
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received MP Fouad Makhzoumi, at Baabda Palace.
Following the meeting, MP Makhzoumi affirmed his support for President Aoun’s firm position and his adhernece to the framework agreement, considering it the realistic path toward restoring sovereignty, achieving the Israeli withdrawal, and placing all weapons under the control of the state and the Lebanese Army.
MP Makhzoumi stressed that President Aoun’s steadfast commitment to the logic of the state and its institutions is a responsible position, emphasizing that economic and financial reforms must not be postponed.
The lawmaker pointed out that building the state and reviving the economy are two interconnected paths that must move forward together.
