Lebanese Detainee Released by Israel as Four Others Await Freedom
A Lebanese political source told MTV that Lebanon had been assured from the outset of the negotiations that five prisoners would be released.
The source said it remains unclear whether the four remaining prisoners will be handed over to Lebanon today or tomorrow.
The source added that the release of one or more prisoners would provide a boost to the direct negotiations. It noted that Malek Ghazi was initially expected to be released yesterday, but the handover was postponed until today for logistical reasons.
