Economy and Trade Minister Amer Bisat pledged the government’s commitment to restoring infrastructure and supporting residents in southern Lebanon during a visit to Nabatieh to assess war damage.
Bisat toured the city with Economy Ministry Director General Mohammad Abou Haidar, meeting local officials, municipal leaders and business representatives to discuss reconstruction needs and support for affected communities and businesses.
He said the government’s immediate priority is restoring essential services and infrastructure to facilitate the return of residents and state institutions, while longer-term efforts will focus on reconstruction in cooperation with international partners. Bisat also announced that the Economy Ministry’s Nabatieh office will resume full operations on Monday.
