Photo: MTV Reveals Identity of Airport Detainee Accused of Collaboration With Israel
MTV has revealed the identity of the Lebanese man who was detained at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport several days ago on allegations of collaborating with Israel, obtaining a copy of his passport photo.
According to MTV sources, the Military Court has been investigating a Lebanese national accused of involvement in activities linked to Israel. The suspect was arrested at the airport while he was preparing to travel to Iraq to meet his Iraqi wife.
Preliminary investigations reportedly indicated that the detainee had provided information that contributed to the targeting and killing of four senior Hezbollah commanders. Sources also said that the suspect’s close ties to Hezbollah enabled him to collect sensitive information about the commanders who were later killed during the recent war.
The sources further stated that the detainee had met with a number of Israeli officers outside Lebanon.
