A state of anticipation and concern is prevailing in the town of Ain Arab in the Marjayoun district after an Israeli patrol arrived at the town’s western entrance from the Wazzani direction and asked the town’s mukhtar to inform residents that they must leave before 5 p.m. today, warning that the town would be targeted if they failed to comply.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army is conducting contacts and monitoring developments on the ground, while also informing residents of the decision it will take in light of the threats.
Residents of Ain Arab had returned to their homes earlier today after the Lebanese Army reopened the road leading to the town by removing earth berms that had been blocking access, following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area.
