Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants strongly condemned in a statement the attack targeting vital facilities in the United Arab Emirates using drones, which caused a fire outside the Barakah nuclear power plant in the Al Dhafra region, in an extremely dangerous development that threatens the security of nuclear facilities and the safety and stability of the region.
The Ministry said that this targeting constitutes a serious escalation and a flagrant violation of international law, as well as a blatant assault on a country known for its peaceful approach and constructive role in promoting stability and cooperation in the region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants reaffirmed its full and unequivocal rejection of any attack on the sisterly United Arab Emirates or any action that undermines its security, sovereignty, or territorial integrity, and reiterated its full solidarity with the UAE and its support for all measures aimed at preserving its security and stability and ensuring the safety of its citizens and residents.
