Minister of Information Paul Morcos received a delegation from the Media Committee of the Maronite League
Minister of Information Paul Morcos received in his office at the ministry, a delegation from the Media Committee of the Maronite League, headed by Executive Council member Attorney Ramez Daher.
The delegation included the Committee Chair, Father Dr. Tony Abou Assaf, and members: Asaad Amira, Dr. Teresa Doueihi, Elie Al-Tannouri, and Karim Assi.
During the meeting, the current media situation and the challenges facing the media sector in Lebanon were discussed, in addition to the reform steps being undertaken by Minister Morcos to develop the Ministry of Information and its affiliated institutions, as well as to activate the state-run Télé Liban following the appointment of its Chairwoman and board members.
The delegation praised Minister Morcos for his efforts since taking office, particularly in handling media dossiers and the new draft media law with a spirit of responsibility, openness, and dialogue, reflecting his commitment to protecting media freedoms, safeguarding Lebanon’s pluralism, and promoting the rejection of hate speech.
