Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri met Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in Ain el-Tineh with whom he discussed developments in Lebanon, including continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, attacks on southern Lebanon and the western Bekaa, and the displacement crisis.
Berri also met former Deputy Speaker Elie Ferzli, who said the speaker remained optimistic despite ongoing attacks, stressing that Lebanese unity and civil peace are essential to restoring sovereignty, securing a full Israeli withdrawal and reviving constitutional life.
Separately, Berri held talks with Central Bank Governor Karim Said on financial and monetary conditions, and met Democratic Gathering bloc secretary MP Hadi Abou al-Hosn to discuss political and legislative affairs.
