Minister of Defense Michel Menassa received at his Yarzeh office, the newly appointed Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Sultan Al-Sharji, where he wished him success in his new diplomatic duties in the country.
During the meeting, the general situation in Lebanon and the region was reviewed in light of current developments. Both sides stressed the need to respect the ceasefire in Lebanon and to halt the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory.
The Kuwaiti Ambassador affirmed his country’s constant support for Lebanon and its people, as well as its respect for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Ambassador al-Sharji also confirmed his country’s commitment to continuing to provide support in various possible fields.
For his part, Menassa expressed his deep gratitude for Kuwait’s constant stand by Lebanon, especially during the difficult circumstances it is going through. Menassa also expressed his hope that the negotiations will succeed in finding a solution to the ongoing conflict in Iran and the Gulf region, given its negative repercussions on the sisterly State of Kuwait and the rest of the countries in the region.
