Berri’s Office: No Direct Negotiations, Trust Remains Strong
The media office of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri responded to what was reported by MTV Lebanon regarding its reading of his position on direct negotiations, and his relations with President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
It stated that confidence between Speaker Nabih Berri and his supporters is “firm as mountains” and cannot be shaken by what it described as “voices of misinformation,” adding that the only concern is for freedom and truth, which they say are now at risk from those who have strayed from the national path.
The statement added that “principles remain principles and will not be compromised under any circumstances,” stressing: “It is well known that we are not in favour of direct negotiations.”
