Derian receives phone calls from Aoun and Salam
Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, received a phone call from President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, who thanked him for his recent supportive positions toward the state and the government during this delicate phase, particularly with regard to the issue of negotiations to end the war in Lebanon.
Mufti Derian also received a similar phone call from Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
Additionally, Mufti Derian received a phone call from Jaafari Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan, with whom he discussed strengthening Islamic and national unity.
Derian later received at Dar al-Fatwa a delegation from the Sovereign Front for Lebanon with whom he discussed the country's general situation.
Speaking in the name of the delegation on emerging, MP Camille Chamoun said that they highly valued Mufti Derian’s wisdom and his valuable positions that serve the national interest.'' MP Chamoun also stressed the paramount importance of Lebanese solidarity in the upcoming phase.
