Photo: Authorities Warn of Fraud Using Fake Gold Ounce Sales
The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
“Based on instructions from the competent judiciary, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces is circulating the photo of an unidentified woman suspected of carrying out fraud operations in the city of Tripoli and its suburbs. She sold a counterfeit gold ounce in a professional manner to a jewelry shop owner in Tripoli after convincing him it was genuine.
Accordingly, the Directorate requests anyone who has information about her identity or whereabouts to contact the Tripoli Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police Unit at either of the following numbers: 06-423039 or 06-626393 to take the necessary legal measures. The name of anyone providing information will remain confidential, in accordance with the law.”
