Salam Presides Over Cabinet Meeting Addressing Security and Economic Issues
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam chaired a ministerial meeting at the Grand Serail, asking ministers to present their portfolios and ways to enhance coordination across government.
According to Information Minister Paul Morcos, Defense Minister Michel Menassa, reviewed ongoing airstrikes in the South and the situation along the Lebanese-Syrian border, while Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar outlined security developments.
Salam instructed all security agencies to ensure respectful and equal enforcement of the law.
Economy Minister Amer Bisat detailed measures to combat inflation, fraud, monopoly practices and smuggling, calling for higher fines through legislative amendments and stronger judicial coordination.
Finance Minister Yassin Jaber stressed that financial and monetary stability remains a top priority, while Social Affairs Minister Hanin El-Sayyed presented updates on displacement trends.
