The Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Service of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expects tomorrow’s weather to be partly to mostly cloudy, with fog over the mountains and a noticeable drop in temperatures returning to seasonal averages. Scattered rain is expected, becoming heavier at times starting from the afternoon, especially in mountainous and inland areas, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds. Rain will ease during the night.
The bulletin stated the following:
General Situation:
Unsettled, occasionally rainy spring weather will affect Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin starting Sunday afternoon, with a drop in temperatures due to a weak low-pressure system centered southwest of Cyprus. This system will gradually recede by Monday evening, while some local instability will persist until Wednesday afternoon, when conditions are expected to stabilize.
Expected Weather in Lebanon:
Sunday: Partly to mostly cloudy with medium and high clouds. Temperatures will be above seasonal averages during the day, then begin to drop rapidly from the afternoon. Humidity will rise, leading to fog formation over the mountains and increasing cloud cover. Scattered, muddy rain is expected, accompanied by lightning and thunder, especially in inland areas, with occasional strong winds.
Monday: Partly to mostly cloudy with fog over the mountains and a noticeable drop in temperatures back to seasonal levels. Scattered rain will fall, becoming heavier at times from the afternoon, particularly in mountainous and inland areas, with lightning, thunder, and active winds. Rain will taper off at night.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy with fog over the mountains and a slight rise in temperatures. Clouds will thicken from the afternoon, especially inland, creating conditions favorable for scattered showers that may be heavy at times, accompanied by lightning, thunder, active winds, and possible hail. Rain will ease at night.
Wednesday: Few clouds to partly cloudy with fog over the mountains and no significant change in temperatures. Local rain showers are expected inland from the afternoon. Weather will stabilize in the evening.
