Lebanon’s Ambassador to Washington, Nada Hamadeh Moawad, thanked the United States, led by Donald Trump, for its efforts to support Lebanon during the second round of talks at the White House.
In a statement, Moawad welcomed the U.S.-brokered extension of the ceasefire for an additional three weeks, describing it as a step toward de-escalation and meaningful negotiations.
Moawad stressed the need to fully respect the ceasefire, prioritizing the protection of civilians, journalists and humanitarian workers, while reaffirming Lebanon’s commitment to its internationally recognized borders and ongoing efforts to enhance security and stability.
