Aoun on anniversary of Syriac massacres and disappearance of Bishops Ibrahim and Yazigi: We are always striving to uncover their fate
On the 13th anniversary of the disappearance of Bishops Yohanna Ibrahim and Paul Yazigi, and marking the 111th anniversary of Sayfo - the Syriac massacres, President of the Republic , General Joseph Aoun affirmed, We stand in absolute solidarity with every abducted person, most notably with these two revered bishops. We are always striving to uncover their fate and work to ensure that Lebanon remains an oasis in this East for every individual and every community, with dignity and equality for all.
President Aoun concluded: I salute this people, this resilience, and this memory, holding steadfast to Lebanon as a message, a sovereign, free, and independent nation, a land of diversity and peace.
