Aoun Seeks International Pressure to End Dangerous Escalation
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun continued his international contacts, urging friendly and allied countries to help curb the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which have affected multiple areas in the south, the Bekaa, and the southern suburbs of Beirut, and are still escalating, causing numerous deaths and injuries along with widespread destruction and the displacement of thousands.
The attacks also directly targeted the UNIFIL, striking the Ghanaian contingent and injuring several of its members.
President Aoun strongly condemned the large-scale Israeli attacks, calling on all countries and the United Nations to intervene and put an end to this dangerous escalation.
