Morcos: Government decides to block any Revolutionary Guard activity in Lebanon
Speaking after the Cabinet session at the Grand Serail chaired by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, Minister of Information Paul Morcos, said that the Prime Minister had requested that the necessary measures be taken to prevent any military or security activity by members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in Lebanon, in preparation for their deportation.
Minister Morcos added: the Prime Minister noted that he heard yesterday remarks accusing the Lebanese government of aligning with Israeli demands and of implementing Israeli decisions. The PM said that he cannot remain silent about such claims. Premier Salam emphasized that the real 'wrongdoing' was committed by those who have dragged Lebanon into adventures without considering their catastrophic repercussions on the country and its people, in service of external interests. He added that accusations of treason are not an act of courage; rather, they are irresponsible and serve to incite discord.
Minister Morcos also announced the appointment of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council.
