President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received former prime ministers Najib Mikati, Fouad Siniora, and Tammam Salam, at Baabda Palace.
Following the meeting, the former premiers condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon and warned against forced displacement orders issued to residents of southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs.
They stressed the importance of national solidarity with communities in the South, the Bekaa and the southern suburb of Beirut, and support for those displaced by the attacks.
The former prime ministers also expressed full support for the positions of President Aoun, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Speaker Nabih Berri, as well as the government’s decision to ensure that the authority over war and peace and the monopoly of arms remain exclusively in the hands of the Lebanese state.
