Israeli army announced that it carried out around 26 waves of airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut (Dahiyeh) since the start of the war.
Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said: “Last night, the Israeli army conducted airstrikes in Beirut targeting command centers and 10 high-rise buildings housing Hezbollah’s military infrastructure.”
He added: “Guided by intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate, the Air Force carried out a wide wave of strikes in Beirut targeting terrorist infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah. The strikes targeted the Executive Council headquarters and a warehouse used to store drones employed by Hezbollah in attacks against Israel. The targeted facilities were used by Hezbollah to plan and execute operations against Israeli forces and civilians.”
He continued: “Before carrying out the strikes, measures were taken to minimize civilian casualties, including issuing advance warnings, using precision munitions, and conducting aerial reconnaissance. The Israel Defense Forces will not allow harm to Israeli civilians and are acting strongly against Hezbollah, which decided to engage in the conflict under the sponsorship of the Iranian regime.”
