Aoun from Abu Dhabi: Awaiting the Return of Our Emirati Brothers to Lebanon
A Lebanese–Emirati summit was held in Abu Dhabi between President Joseph Aoun and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, both sides agreed on the importance of strengthening bilateral relations for the benefit of both nations and peoples.
President Aoun emphasized that the past is behind us, and the state has begun to regain its presence, capacity, and sovereignty, with all its components cooperating for Lebanon’s future, expressing gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed for his supportive stance toward Lebanon.
We look forward to welcoming our Emirati brothers back to our country, Aoun added.
For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed affirmed: We support Lebanon’s unity and territorial integrity, and the strengthening of state institutions and their role in preserving sovereignty, security, and stability.
