Pharmacists’ Syndicate Chief visits Interior Minister, urges enhanced protection for pharmacies
Head of the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists Joe Salloum visited Minister of Interior Major General Ahmad Hajjar, accompanied by Vice President Abdel Rahman Marqabawi, Dr. Ziad Al Hajj Shahada, and Dr. Bassam Hanini.
Dr. Salloum stressed that the safety of pharmacists, patients, and citizens must be a top priority, beyond all compromise.
Salloum thanked the Minister for the notable arrest of the armed assailant who targeted four pharmacies and seriously injured a pharmacist. He also called for increased police patrols around pharmacies, greater municipal and station-level protection, and stricter crackdowns on smuggled drugs and illegal pharmaceutical outlets.
