President Aoun: The US should help Lebanon become a stable and secure country
President Joseph Aoun affirmed that Lebanon is moving forward with implementing economic, financial, and administrative reforms, and combating corruption remains one of the main goals I am working to achieve in cooperation with the government and Parliament.
During his meeting with a delegation from the Middle East Institute in Washington, President Aoun noted that it is in the interest of the United States for Lebanon to remain a stable and secure country, and it should take the initiative to help achieve this goal. He also stressed that Lebanon is committed to the return of displaced people to their country, and lifting economic sanctions on Syria would help revive its economy and create conditions that facilitate their return.
