Army Commander receives Ceasefire Monitoring Chiefs
Lebanese Army Commander, General Rodolph Haykal, received US Major General Jasper Jeffers, outgoing head of the Ceasefire Monitoring Mechanism, during a meeting held at Army Headquarters in Yarzeh.
Jeffers formally introduced his successor, Major General Michael J. Leeney, who officially assumed his duties earlier in the day. The meeting was attended by US Ambassador to Lebanon Lisa A. Johnson.
Discussions focused on recent developments in southern Lebanon and ongoing efforts to implement the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
